AMBIGUITY

Simple definition of ambiguity :
 
1. ambiguity is the possibility of interpreting an expression in two or more distinct ways.
2. ambiguity is an instance of this, as in the sentence they are cooking apples.
3. ambiguity is vagueness or uncertainty of meaning: there are several ambiguities in the situation .
4. ambiguity is something that does not have a single clear meaning .

6. ambiguity is the quality or state of being ambiguous especially in meaning .
7. ambiguity is word or expression that can be understood two or more possible ways ( an ambiguous word or expression .
